Fee structure

All sessions are 50 minutes long. I offer a sliding scale of fees, which allows me to cover the costs of my practice, whilst providing more accessibility with lower-cost sessions. I have a limited allocation for sessions within reduced and accessible rates. If I don’t have availability for these slots, I hold a waiting list and will follow up with you when a slot becomes available. Please note, I have discretion to review my fees annually. Any potential increases will be communicated to you with notice.

The below are guide prices and statements to help you work out which you feel best applies to you and your circumstances. This is something we can discuss and agree on within our initial telephone/video consultation or please reach out before to enquire further about this. See more details below:

Should these proposed fees not meet your affordability requirements, there are various low-cost counselling services within London and across the UK. The counsellors within these services are typically at a trainee level, within a voluntary basis. You’re usually allocated a set amount of sessions that you’ll agree with the service and your counsellor.

For transparency, I’ve listed below some of my core costs for running my private practice, to give you a sense of what the session fees cover:

  • Registration with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) - to ensure I follow an Ethical Framework and adhere to professional counselling standards.

  • Regular supervision - an opportunity for me to confidentially review, discuss and explore my clinical work to provide further support for my clients.

  • Insurance - to provide adequate protection for us both.

  • Counselling and psychotherapy directory listings - to be able to market and promote my private practice.

  • Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) registration - to protect your data and personal information.

  • Website, video conferencing, business mobile phone, email and domain subscriptions - to hold online sessions, be contactable and operationally run private practice.

  • Room hire - to ensure I am able to offer counselling in-person across various locations.

  • Ongoing training and professional development - as part of my BACP registration, and ethically within my practice, it is a requirement for me to continuously develop my professional skills, knowledge and techniques, ensuring I am providing ongoing informed and trained support for you.

  • Further administration costs for running a business / private practice - for example notebooks, paperwork, WiFi.
